INFO

“Teef Al Hub” by Ard Al Zaafaran 100ml – £15

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

This fragrance was recommended to me by a friend as an example of a great introduction to Arab perfumes. I usually associated Arab fragrance with oud and as I am not typically a fan of strong oud, I was initially hesitant. When I discovered just how affordable many Arab fragrances are and the excellent quality that they tend to possess, I was ready to dive in head first.

HOW DOES THIS FRAGRANCE MAKE ME FEEL?

This rose vanilla fragrance smells like the demure and deeply introverted best friend of a highly extroverted woman. While one might initially assume that its sweetness would make it a passive and inoffensive scent, it is so sophisticatedly blended that it will still stand out within a crowd. It’s the olfactory equivalent of a black pencil skirt, a dependable staple that will go well with everything else in your wardrobe.

RATING

4 – Don’t MIST Out: This fragrance is a great option for people who want to dip their toe into the Arab fragrance world. It is also an excellent option if you like to layer your scents and want to add a gourmand touch to a heavily spicy fragrance. The longevity is poor so be prepared to reapply throughout the day.
