Co Co Violet by Amarsi 50ml EDP

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

I saw the Amarsi stand at Esxence and I was intrigued by the brand’s name and it’s colourful bottles. As one of the Amarsi representatives was talking to me about the history of the brand, a woman with beautiful hair and an effervescent personality introduced herself as Alessandra, the perfumer behind the fragrances. Alessandra kindly gifted me a bottle of this fragrance to review.

HOW DOES THIS FRAGRANCE MAKE ME FEEL?

If I had to describe this fragrance in one word it would be “coquettish”. It is an interestingly feminine blend of violet and patchouli. Although it is not listed as a note, I detect some iris. But this is not iris as you know it. This is not the typical overpowering powder bomb, it is far more sagacious. This fragrance is for the woman who looks like she would not look out of place working at the Crazy Horse in Paris. This is a scent I would use to initiate an office romance. In a work environment, one must be discreet and subtle when flirting. But when your intended amour asks himself “Is she flirting with me?” the sillage that this scent leaves behind as you walk away will provide him all the confirmation he needs.

RATING

4 – Don’t MIST Out: Most of the iris fragrances that I already own project far too much for me to wear them in the daytime. With Co Co Violet, I feel that I have finally found an iris fragrance that is suitable to wear in the daytime. I may not have a work crush but I will definitely be wearing this to the office!
