“Jungle L’Elephant” by Kenzo 100ml EDP

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

I watched a YT video about fragrances that have the strongest projection. This perfume was consistently mentioned in people’s lists. The fact that Dominque Ropion is the perfumer behind this was enough to motivate me to blind-buy it.

HOW DOES THIS FRAGRANCE MAKE ME FEEL?

This fragrance taught me that prior scent-associations can really impact how you perceive a fragrance. Although this is a beautiful amber-spicy fragrance, all my brain smells is “Sulfur 8”, a hair cream that my Mom used to use on my when I was a child. So whenever I wear this scent I feel like I am getting my hair done. I enjoy wearing this scent because of the nostalgia it evokes, but I cannot see myself wearing it outside of the house.

RATING

3 – MIST Opportunity: Subjectivity reigns supreme here and I cannot move past my personal memories. However, the fragrance is unbeatable in terms of projection and longevity.
