“Tank Battle” by Lush 100ml EDP

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Along my fragrance journey I was keen to explore fragrances by houses I had never considered before. I had seen Lush perfumes in spray bottles and hated this packaging so I didn’t bother trying any. It was only through my research that I discovered that Lush used to have a stand-alone brand called Gorilla Perfumes that was solely dedicated to fragrance but it eventually shutdown. These scents were then sold in Lush stores. I figured that if effort had been made to create an entire fragrance house for Lush, it was worth checking out.

HOW DOES THIS FRAGRANCE MAKE ME FEEL?

This scent is a reflection of my high-self esteem and self-confidence because I am convinced that 90% of the population will not like this scent. But I love it, so I bought it, and I am wearing it with pride. I like things that most people do not like. Black liquorice? Love it. Bran Flakes for breakfast? Yes please. This scent can be described as none other than olfactory confusion. Bubblegum mixed with cloves and metal is the most accurate description I can provide. This scent is the new boyfriend that you bring to meet your girlfriends and all of your friends raise their eyebrows because he is NOT your usual type and they have no idea what you see in him, but as long as your happy? They’re happy. If I was in fragrance elementary school, this is the scent I would bring to “Show and Tell”. This is NOT a white-shirt friendly scent, spray on light clothes at your peril!

RATING

4 – Don’t MIST Out: I think that this is a scent that you should consider smelling if you like gourmand scents and want to try something truly experimental. This scent is only sold in 100ml so DO NOT blind-buy this unless you want to go on some sort of fragrance kamikaze mission. However, it is one of, if not the most unique scents in my collection and serves as a reflection of what is creatively possible in the world of fragrance.
