Twilly d’Hermès Eau Poivrée” by Hermès 30ml EDP

HOW DID WE GET HERE?

I was shopping in Hermès (EDIT: Typing out the previous phrase made me cackle. Please note that this was a once-a-decade scarf purchase and I do not come from wealth, I am very much a middle-class pedestrian). I decided to smell some of the fragrances they had on display while I was waiting for my sales associate to assist me and this one was my favourite.

HOW DOES THIS FRAGRANCE MAKE ME FEEL?

This fragrance smells like my extended family on my Mom’s side. I wear this scent when I want to feel bold and authoritative. The pink pepper dominates and if you overspray this it WILL lack boundaries, just like my aunties’ questions about why I’m not married yet. This perfume allows me to experience the nostalgia of being at a big family event with none of the personal intrusion.

4 – Don’t MIST Out: This fragrance is the epitome of personal preference. I can imagine just as many people loathing this scent as I can imagine loving it. Even amongst my friends who love all things fragrance this scent is very polarising. I love all things pepper so this is heaven for me, but I recommend that you try before you buy to ensure that this scent is not your personal hell. If it is an instant love for you, it will probably be one that lasts a lifetime!
